Revised revision of the first revised mix. There will be no further revising, coz all that remixing drives me headless

To fulfill the non-playthrough video quota. Features binaural field recordings I made in 2020 and "accoustic" guitar. Whole album here: zeekat.bandcamp.com/album/intentionally-blank

Samples and some backgrounds taken from a film that tells you how to like art. It's like 1960s painting oriented Rick Beato.

I have a terrible cold and my ears are shot. I think it sounds like a cop drama music, again. Video made of someone's old home movies and films about science.

I feel I wasted a half clever title here, bit of a shame. Uses Cassete Vibraphone sfz and a Centaur emulation from Helix Native. No trem flutters this time coz there's been formal complaints.

I should probably type something meaningful here. Just let me think.
Flipping the magnet polarity in a lipstick pickup (Hohner Revelation X-III)
Переглядів 277Рік тому
Turned the Hohner's fakebucker into an actual humbucker. The trick with rubbing the pickup with a stronger magnet seems to be working, 50Hz begone! BTW remaining noise is not from the guitar, it's from Helix tubescreamer/amp sim.

Made with Defil Tosca guitar loaned from Emil (ua-cam.com/users/fryvolicvideos). Prime 1980s People's Republic of Poland artifact. The country might've been in deep crisis back then, but there was never a shortage of those giant fretboard dots. Track created for The Feel of Defil vol. 7 compilation: defil7.bonimedia.pl/

Long planned attempt at making an old timey car chase soundtrack (wah guitar, check, clav, check). Sounded better in my head. At least it's short! Version without vroom vroom on bandcamp: zeekat.bandcamp.com/track/chase-to-the-cut

Expansion of the ten minute idea from the upload before. Not sure about the middle happy bit but I left it in coz the Oblique Strategies card told me so. If you think it sucks blame Brian Eno.
Amateur 10 minutes aka "Against The Clock"

This is how much I was able to "produce" from scratch in ten minutes. Ran out of budget to film what's on screen, there's text commentary tho (and resulting mixdown at 10:26 mark). Might probably do a full version of the track at some point.

Tyle lat a ten kawałek jest dalej takim klapsem, że nie sposób do niego nie wracać po jeszcze 🥴👌
Blimey! That was epic! To my eternal shame I had no idea these guys put this together... Fan now.. RIP Mick K....
DAMNNN DUDE!!! Great work! I’m sure the 13/16 soloing must’ve been a bitch to get a hang of, but you sound quite good!
I saw the Cort version of this guitar in a store years ago for around $300 - I really should have bought it. I love the old Steinberger style guitars. More manufacturers need to make this kind of guitar. You only need "that much guitar" body anyway. The rest just adds needless weight.
Steinbergers Spirit (which are almost identical, just with HSH layout) are still in production, but yeah bit of a shame there's not much more left of it. Definitely a cool exercise how much you can remove and still have a perfectly good guitar. Tuning system and speedloading strings are brilliant too.
Too guitar centric. Missing more song crafting, subtly. 1997? Hmmmm...
A feast for the ears Mick is phenomenal. His passing is a great loss🥲
Saw them perform live at the London Astoria the year before. Steven Wilson was in the audience ((with the remaining members of Porcupine Tree I presumed).
Brilliant job!…Thank you Lukasz for your work/efforts to bring this amazing performance to the World. 🥰
Once again I feel this needs to be pointed out…Japan band members felt the need/they knew they were brothers, WELL after Japan broke up…And that's a beautiful thing…Which led to #RAINTREECROW 😍
Teraz w sumie zwróciłem uwagę, kolorystyka gitar planowana? :D
tak wyszło :)
What are the headless guitars? Steinbergers? Cort?
Hohner the Jack and Hohner G2T
Just installed one on my 90's spirit and cannot get the ball end into the claw to install the strings...nothing in the documentation about this. Any clues would be very much appreciated.
yeah took me a minute at first too, coz it looks a bit different than in an R-trem. You're meant to put the ball end _under_ the claw once it's open. You can always write an email to MGR, he responds fast to any support questions.
I saw Meshuggah open for SLAYER in 99. They blew me away and I have seen them many times since. Always amazing and getting better in my opinion.
Jens can play guitar as good as the rest of the band.
god Karn
This was the top of 3D engineering those times. Now we are just lazy to even program something simple, instead we complain about different modern 3D engines, but we forget one thing. Without these demonstrations and hard work of engine creators, we could never see 3D giants coming.
he created the 80th style !?
Hi,does it still in tune ? Thanks
Yes, as long as nut slots are well lubricated you can go crazy with the whammy bar and it keeps in tune
@@ZeeKat ok Thanks buddy 🤟
Beautiful trem use, and decent hot drink consumption.
pure uncut Ghanaian cocoa!
Mick Karn what a great bass player. Gone too soon
VERY GOOD...........................................................................................................
Saw these guys back in laredo opening for Tool. Completely floored throughout their set. Became a fan since.
Szwedzkiej gazety Le Monde umieram ze śmiechu
One of the most underrated bands ever... true craftsmen.
I was lucky enough to catch this tour at the London Astoria 2 on 12th April 97, fantastic night
Pięknie zrobiony twister..
i najcudniejszy 90sowy soundtrack
wow this is brilliant clearly Japan was not just Davis Silvian what a great concert
Never heard this before. Really good!
THANK YOU 🙏
How fo you find the, how stiff or soft is the bar to use?
it's a bit stiff, which is no surprise for an R-trem derived device I guess
@@ZeeKat how much is this trem, whats the advantage than r trem
@@bustanorms2028 all info on mgr-design website, seems like there's still a bunch left for $497 - same general working principle as R-trem just redesigned from scratch for precision and durability.
Am building a fret-less Bass, with a through neck from oak/ purple-heart.Out of respect of this MAN.
Thanks for the posting this, Mick Karn is/was possibly the best player of bass guitar in the modern era. 💖
These dudes are from another world
Amazing jam. I know nothing about Japan and these incredible musicians from that band. That needs to change!
Japan were awesome well ahead of they're time ! I had the privelage of them in my life in my late teens early 20s till they split in 83😫. Enjoy you're in for a real treat 👌👍🎸
i love how dissonant they are at the end because someone is out of tune, just makes it sound even more evil ahaha
No proszę, kolejny Harley Brzdękton w rasowej progrockerce!
Wow! very cool! Pretty guitars too! :) I like your style - like fusion or prog but with a more melodic vibe
Objectively the best thing I've heard today!
Best thing I uploaded to youtube that day, definitely
@@ZeeKat "is music non-objective? discuss!"
@@edwardgivenscomposer music objectively exists! That film that teaches how to enjoy art I found for samples is a lot like the CD teaching to enjoy classical music listened by a character from that Nic Cage movie "Pig" (which IMO is a great little movie)
1:42 gets me everytime, they were so ahead of their time
Mick Karn, The greatest ever, what a massive loss to the world.
Jansen & Karn !!!!
Great but lose the heavy metal guitarist already
Which keyboard is it? And interesting stuff!
Vibraphone sfz is played with a rickety old E-mu Xboard, Novation Ultranova plays some own pad patch and layers of synth1 and arpeggiated Dagger VST if I remember correctly
The Beginings of Porcupine Tree
Porcupine Tree was already a good four albums in at that time
@@ZeeKat ok I wasn’t aware of that. There you go!
I would pay top dollar to see this live RIP Mick!!
FFS MICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sublime sounds...Mick etc the best!
the audio artifacts make it sound like the ringmod-ed guitars from Car Bomb xd
Seriously interested in getting one of these for my Steinberger Spirit GT Pro Deluxe guitar.
Seem to be out of stock now, if nobody's getting rid of theirs you need to launch MGR an email to ask about the next run I guess.
